Edward Geoghegan qualified as a Solicitor in February 2008 and has since established a strong reputation as a trusted, approachable, and highly effective legal practitioner. Known for his energy, professionalism, and practical approach, Edward is committed to delivering clear advice and efficient solutions across a broad range of legal matters. Edward graduated from Griffith College Dublin in 2002 with an Honours Degree in Business and Law. Following graduation, he worked within the Irish Civil Service across a number of government departments, including the Department of Social Protection, the Department of Enterprise, and the Department of Communications.
Edward subsequently commenced his solicitor training with a Dublin-based practice in Walkinstown before qualifying and joining Brian Grogan & Company in 2008. Over the following 14 years, Edward played a central role in the development and expansion of the practice, helping grow the firm from a small office consisting of one solicitor and one secretary into a well-established and respected legal practice. In June 2022, Edward became Principal of the firm and has since overseen a further period of significant growth and development. Under his leadership, the practice has continued to expand and now employs a team of nine staff dedicated to providing high-quality legal services with a strong client-focused approach.
Alongside his practical experience, Edward has continued to advance his professional education and has obtained Diplomas in both Family Law and Employment Law through the Law Society of Ireland.
With almost two decades of experience in practice, Edward is dedicated to providing clients with straightforward advice, practical guidance, and strong representation delivered in a professional and accessible manner.

Catherine McGuinness

Catherine McGuinness is a graduate of Griffith College Dublin where she achieved an Honours Degree in Irish Law. She embarked upon an internship with Community Law and Mediation an independent law centre where she worked within and for the benefit of the local community.
Catherine continued her legal studies at the Honourable Society of Kings Inns and qualified as a Barrister at Law. Catherine was called to the Irish Bar and practiced predominantly in the area of family law. She has considerable practical experience of all aspects of Family Law Litigation, including Divorce, Judicial Separation, Maintenance, Guardianship, Access, and Custody.
Catherine subsequently went on to study at the Law Society of Ireland and qualified as a Solicitor.
Catherine joined the firm and continues to work with Ed at Geoghegan Solicitors. where she has acquired additional legal experience in conveyancing. She is a practical, approachable, no nonsense Solicitor, who offers an empathetic and informative approach to problem solving.

Emma Clancy

Emma Clancy is a Solicitor practising in the areas of probate and conveyancing. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Maynooth University in 2020.
Emma began her legal career with Geoghegan Solicitors in 2018 while studying law at Maynooth University. Working alongside her studies provided her with early, hands-on experience in legal practice and client service, and a strong understanding of the day-to-day operation of a busy law firm.
She qualified as a Solicitor in 2024 after completing the Law Society PPC Hybrid course, which she undertook while working full time. This achievement reflects Emma’s strong commitment to the legal profession and her ability to balance professional and academic demands.
Emma’s practice focuses on probate and conveyancing. She advises clients on the administration of estates with professionalism, sensitivity, and clarity, and assists clients through residential conveyancing transactions with a practical and detail-oriented approach. Emma is committed to providing clear, reliable legal advice and a high standard of client care.
